Carnival!

Last week was an exciting one for Narberth- it was the annual Civic Week from the 20th-26th July, with a packed programme of games, parades and events, culminating in the spectacular carnival. On carnival day shops and businesses were encouraged to take the theme of pirates as their costume inspiration- and as you can see from the photos below, we at the Golden Sheaf were keen to climb aboard! Narberth carnival is the longest-running in Pembrokeshire, and attracts both locals and holidaymakers alike. The parade itself took place in the afternoon, with a procession of incredibly creative floats and parade-walkers in fancy dress- a celebratory explosion of noise and colour as the pinnacle of a week full of fun and festive atmosphere. Well done to the team who organise the events every year- they do such a fantastic job!
