Ian started to learn the art of pottery restoration in 1974 via a family link involved in the antique trade. This was the basis from which he developed a real interest in the art of pottery itself. His ceramics reflect his working life within the antique trade, with the Raku process inflicting an aged feel to a contemporary style.
Each of Ian’s clocks is a unique creation that has a whimsical quality; they could almost be dancing upon the mantelpiece when our backs are turned. To add to their charm, Ian also hides a sweet little mouse on the clock, as well as signing and numbering each one.
