Lovingly handmade in Wales by Indre Dunn
"Ever since I was little I have been making. When I was growing up, my mum worked in the theatre, and that was my playground. It was magical to watch actors getting ready for the performances and wonder in the large store rooms full of various objects. My mum made toys and clothes for me, and I have learnt to sew, knit and crochet from her and my grandma. Later when I came to the UK, I went to study Contemporary Textiles in Cardiff, I have learnt more intricate techniques and ways of expressing myself through making. But what always stayed alive is that sense of wonder and play of childhood and now being a mum to my one-year-old, I find myself once again allowing fairy tales and magic to to inspire my creativity. My toys and anthropomorphic soft sculptures are one of the kind unique pieces, mostly made using linen from Lithuania."
